Please Understand... I'm Not Taking Sides Here!

Man, unlike animals, has never learned that the sole purpose in life is to enjoy it.” - Samuel Butler

Marge, don’t discourage the boy. Weaseling out of things is important to learn. It’s what separates us from the animals … except the weasel.” - Homer Simpson

Learned behavior, the ability to adapt, they have the ability to use instinct and intelligence to increase their longevity. In today's world, animal or human, it's adjust or you don't make it.” - Stephen Havera

Yesterday when I was tootling around the internet, looking for nothing in particular, I came across the following "cutsey" list that there are so many of. Now, some of these I agree with, but some I definately don't!!! (I think, given my status, I'm allowed to be a fence-sitter on this one, yes/no?)

Anyway, I thought I'd pass it along for either a chuckle, an ignore, or a debate....or you may just want to side with Homer Simpson (see quotes above). Suit yourself!

(BTW, there were supposed to be a few pictures that I wanted to post along with this, but my good old friend Mr. Blogger hadn't gotten out of bed yet this morning I guess. In any case, he wasn't co-operating with the picture thing! Sorry about that.)

15 Reasons Why A Dog Is Better Than A Man

1. Dogs do not have problems expressing affection in public.

2. Dogs miss you when you're gone.

3. Dogs feel guilt when they've done something wrong.

4. Dogs don't brag about whom they've slept with.

5. Dogs don't criticize your friends.

6. Dogs admit when they're jealous.

7. Dogs don't feel threatened by your intelligence.

8. Dogs understand what 'no' means.

9. You can house train a dog.

10. Middle-aged dogs don't feel the need to abandon you for a younger owner.

11. Dogs don't mind if you do all the driving.

12. Dogs don't step on the imaginary brake.

13. Dogs admit it when they're lost.

14. Dogs don't feel threatened if you earn more than they do.

15. Dogs mean it when they kiss you.

Let the unwinnable debate begin!!

PEACE.

Awwww... what I love about dogs is that they love you unconditionally, no matter who you are or what you do. Not all men (or women) are like that. :)

And interestingly enough, MY dog used to act like she DID want to drive the car. She's getting older now, so it's easier to keep her in the back of the car -- but when she was younger, she'd always want to jump into the lap of whoever was driving. It didn't matter how many people were in the car, she would want to be in the DRIVER'S seat. She's a funny dog... :)

LOL great list!
I'm trying to teach my dog to put the toliet seat down...THEN we'll be cruisin around here!

All I'm saying is, if the shoe fits...

Oh my gosh, I am such a rude bitch. I said the above comment thinking this was making a correlation between men & dogs. LOL

We can all learn a lot from animals!

Not to choose sides, but based on the men in my life, I'm getting a dog and calling it a day.

There's just something about a dog that gives people something you can get from no place else. Um, but I'll keep my hubby still ;)
