Well, hello again and greetings to one and all. I had a fantastic Christmas at my brother's place in Ottawa. I got to meet new relatives (one of my nephews got married this past summer), new relatives-to-be (the same nephew's sister announced her engagement just a week or two ago, and brought her fiance along), re-acquainted myself with cousins whom I probably haven't seen in about 35 years or more, as well as caught up on a whole lot of visiting with my sis, her hubby, their son and his girlfriend, and another brother and his wife.

It was also one of my favorite aunt's 90th birthday, so we had a big do for her on Wednesday. I think she really enjoyed it, but seemed exhausted by the time it was all over. I guess you can't take as much at 90 as you can at 50!

So, that's the Reader's Digest version of my holidays. With that, I wish you all wonderful things for 2007.....health, happiness, friendship, caring and support. If each year can be better than the last, even by a stitch, then we're all moving in the right direction.

Now, as to my blog's heading. I indicated in my last post that I was having all sorts of difficulties with this so-called ahem computer.

I just finished doing a whirlwind cycle of my "hardcore/regular" "family blog"sites that I check regularly and discovered that two of them are compromised. When I enter www.newshane.blogspot.com, I get a list of discount diet pills, when I try for www.almost-meridith.blogspot.com, I end up at an adult porn site. The others all seem to be okay, except every now and then I spin off to an ad site for "drivecleaner freeware". I always am reluctant to do anything with packages like that, assuming that they're loaded with bad and nasty things. Does anyone have any suggestions how I should go about getting things straightened around again?

Is there something going on that I don't know about? Is it coincidence that it's the two accounts for our wonderful Colorado couple that are loused up, do I have a virus that needs finding and destroying, what the heck is going on?

I can get really, really frustrated about these things if I let myself, so I'm not going to let myself.

Tomorrow, I'm going to go into "Safe Mode", and play around with the various supervisor options until I've either found and fixed the problem, or have screwed things up so badly I'll be off air again for who knows how long, so this may be goodbye for awhile....who knows?.
