Fundamental Politics - Plain And Simple

Politics, as a practice, whatever its professions, has always been the systematic organization of hatreds.” - Henry Brooks Adams

“A leader has to lead, or otherwise he has no business in politics.”.” - Harry S. Truman

Education: That which discloses to the wise and disguises from the foolish their lack of understanding.” - Ambrose Bierce

The following conversation took place between an 8-year-old and his father:

Son:"Dad, I have to do a special report for school. Can I ask you a question?"

Father: "Sure, son. What's the question?"

Son: "What is politics?"

Father: "Well, let's take a look at home. For example, I am the wage earner, so let's call me Capitalism. Your mother is the administrator of the money, so let's call her the Government. We take care of you and your needs, so let's call you the People. Since the maid is paid with money that I earn, we'll call her the Working Class. Your baby brother we can call the Future. Now do you understand, Son?"

Son: "I'm not really sure, Dad. I'll have to think it over."

Later that night, awakened by his baby brother's crying, the son went to see what was wrong. Discovering that the baby had seriously soiled his diaper, the boy went to his parent's room, and found hs mother sound asleep. He then went to the maid's room, where, peeking through the keyhole, he saw his father in bed with the maid. The boy's knocking went totally unheeded by his father and the maid, and so the boy went back to his room and then fell asleep.

The next morning, he said to his father: "Dad, now I think I fully understand what politics is."

Father:" Good, Son. Can you tell us in your own words?"

Son: "Well, Dad, while Capitalism is screwing the Working Class, Government is sound asleep, the People are being totally ignored, and the Future is full of shit."

P.S. Just as an afterthought, what day of the week is your "crack" day? I figure if I'm truly going to be part of this extended family, there should be no secrets. Now, I'm kinda like the overweight wahoo bending down to pick up something up from the bottom shelf of a hardware store....but you work with what you've got. Right?

Finally, here's a pic for KSHIPPYCHIC who was wondering if you could see a fart. We managed to catch this one on X-ray.

PEACE.

Yay!! Fart pics! That is so cool. Hahahahaha

Hmmm what exactly do you mean by my "crack" day? Am I missing something?

Oh GOOD FART PIC!! May I borrow your x-ray machine some time?? I wanna see some stuff!

Are you meaning Marny's crack Monday?? She does crack pictures on Mondays if she gets to it. Are you gonna show us your crack?? Want I should take pics of your crack when I get there?? :)

LMAO! So true on politics, and the fart x-ray is excellent!

"The Bible contains six admonishments to homosexuals and three hundred and sixty-two admonishments to heterosexuals. That doesn't mean that God doesn't love heterosexuals. It's just that they need more supervision." - Lynne Lavner*** I'm confused; curious; satisfied; realistically resigned to being a frustrated idealist; usually at peace with myself, but not always. Amazed at how little I know, and wondering how much I need to understand.
