Today Is Brought To You By The Letters Z,I,G and Y

It has occured to me as I've read back through some of my past blogs that I make absolutely no sense whatsoever. And if it doesn't make sense to me, you are nothing short of kind to pretend that it makes sense to you, too.

So, in honour of this generosity on your part (as well as getting me through some bumpy times....which I hope you realize you did in spades), I thought I would pass on one of my all-time favorite Ziggy cartoons. I don't even know if Ziggy is still active.....I cut this out years ago.

Setting for each one of 6 frames: A silhouette of Ziggy sitting on a park bench.

Frame 1: I'm thankful. Somewhere along the way I stopped anxiously waiting for things I wanted.

Frame 2: I gave up waiting and just went on living....and I did all of the little things that I enjoy.

Frame 3: I figured that if I couldn't be happy with what I've got, then I'd never be happy.

Frame 4: Then a funny thing happened....once I accepted being content with what I had...

Frame 5: ...I started to get things I always wanted!

Frame 6: ....Like contentment and happiness!!

I'm here to testify in a small way that this approach works. I've still got a long road ahead of me though....that's what scares me sometimes.

Thanks for listening.

PEACE.

I have wanted to tell you that I thank you for all the comments you make on my blog during my "down" times, when I am unable to visit other peoples blogs, when I struggle to put a post on my own blog...and yet you don't forget me, you still visit and you leave a comment for me, which lifts me spirits a bit...that I have been remembered. Thank you for this. Sometimes it is such as things like these that get me through a rough moment. The kind of moments I don't write about. So again, I thank you.

that piece you cut out is so so true on life, I wish many more people looked at life in this way.
Oliva that is such a lovely comment you left evydense, it is nice to know there are people like you both still around.

Well, Jo, first let me say "Hi" and welcome to my blog. I hope I'm not comitting a sin by you having been here before!!!

Olivia. You touch my heart. All the time people are saying things to each other that, although we truly mean them, they frequently become ritualized. "Oh, they broke an ankle; I'd better get a card off and squeeze in a hospital visit if I can. I exaggerate, of course, but you get the point.

Some words, a very few, spoken at the right time are one of the greateast gifts one person can bestow on another.

Thank you dearly for the precious gift.

PEACE.

I'll ignore the gutless, advantage-taking scum of the earth that posted the anon note:(well...almost ignore them.)

GO FUCK OFF!!

"The Bible contains six admonishments to homosexuals and three hundred and sixty-two admonishments to heterosexuals. That doesn't mean that God doesn't love heterosexuals. It's just that they need more supervision." - Lynne Lavner*** I'm confused; curious; satisfied; realistically resigned to being a frustrated idealist; usually at peace with myself, but not always. Amazed at how little I know, and wondering how much I need to understand.
