Violins
“No power in society, no hardship in your condition can depress you, keep you down, in knowledge, power, virtue, influence, but by your own consent.” - William Elery Channing
“Men fail much oftener from want of perseverance than from want of talent” - anon
“Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful.” - Herman Cain
Christine's grandfather could be relied upon when things went wrong. When she was twelve, someone stole her new bicycle during the brief time she left it unguarded; she failed by a few marks the entrance examination to the new school of her choice; her best friend moved away. On top of eveything else, she was ill during the summer holidays.
Later that summer, she went to her grandfather's home in the country to recover. She arrived feeling depressed and sorry for herself.
"Why does everything go wrong with me?" she complained.
"I don't know", Grandpa replied, but there are some things I do know, and I'll tell you one of them, Christine. The wood for the best violins is taken from the windward side of the tree, because it's the side that suffers most that produces the finest wood."
PEACE.
We must be made of some very fine wood!! :)

What a beautiful story. I really like this quote: "Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful.” - Herman Cain
